Ramssol, through its subsidiary Rider Gate, was already appointed as a JPJ authorised collection agent in December 2025 for two years. This happened BEFORE JPJ suspended Zetrix and MyEG's collection-agent services on 5 October 2026. So, technically, Ramssol did not win a new contract to replace Zetrix. However, with Zetrix/MyEG out of the picture, Ramssol could potentially capture some of their previous JPJ transactions, especially vehicle ownership transfers, road-tax renewals and summons payments. Regarding the tender, JPJ said qualified companies can apply and appointments are subject to established procedures and MOF approval. But there is no publicly established confirmation that Ramssol won an open tender. My view is that Ramssol has an opportunity, but we should not assume it will or can inherit Zetrix's entire business. The big question now is whether JPJ will give Ramssol additional responsibilities or conduct a fresh selection process for the vacant services. My concern about Ramssol is whether its technology can handle JPJ-scale operations. Haha. Like the TUJU situation with Waze, having a software platform doesn't mean it can automatically handle millions of users and transactions. If Ramssol receives significantly more JPJ business, it may need substantial investment in servers, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity and technical manpower. More customers don't necessarily mean more profit if operating costs increase significantly. Furthermore, Ramssol has NOT been confirmed as Zetrix's replacement. Haha.
